Welcome to the Arthur Ackermann website

Ackermann was founded in London in 1783 and by 1796 the art dealing business was well established.

Ackermann has two areas of expertise:

• Traditional paintings handled by Ackermann & Johnson, directed by Peter Johnson

• Modern paintings handled by Ackermann & Jeffcock, directed by Matthew Frost and James Kayll

Arthur Ackermann Ltd is now a subsidiary of Arthur Ackermann (IOM) Ltd.

On the website we show a representative sample of paintings that are currently available.

Please contact us if you are looking for a particular artist. The company has an extensive data base from which we can find specific artists. We can on occasion locate individual paintings.

We are always interested in purchasing quality paintings and we will sell exceptional paintings on commission, the company always acts with the utmost discretion.
